WELCOME TO THE THATCHED GARAGE

HOME OF

THE MAN FOR LAND ROVERS

When this whole Adventure started way back in 1987, no one could possibly have foreseen what was going to happen….

By dint of always looking after every single customer, trying to put a smile of each of those faces, giving good friendly advice, offering only lovely pre owned Series & Defender 4x4s that would offer yeoman service to their new owners, ensuring prices were right and that aftercare including perhaps servicing, parts, accessories and even the inevitable odd hiccup were all dealt with professionally and with great care, we are now approaching an incredible landmark: nearly 4,500 Land Rovers sold!

The timeline so far:
  1. 1987 - The beginning, renting The Sussex Barn and Ye Olde Cart Shed at Hackhurst Farm in Lower Dicker.
  2. 1990 - The definitive move, purchasing The Thatched Garage in East Hoathly. Our wonderful, quaint home to the present day.
  3. 2012 - TMD Tuning & Upgrades for Defenders is born, the brainchild of Dealer Principal Ben Digby-Clarke [No. 3 Son].

We are genuinely proud to have served overall tens of thousands of customers, and through dedication, hard work and consummate experience developed a brand that we can be proud of - with trust, value and customer service our keynotes.

Not for us are the vulgar margins of some, the catch me quick routines, the inability to help when needed; we've been here about the longest and we don't intend to change our principles any time.

Now please browse this Website, but also enjoy our Tuning, Upgrade & Online Shop capabilities on TMD's standalone site at www.tunemydefender.com or simply come along and enjoy our delightful, rural Thatched Garage and a cuppa... We cannot wait to meet you!
